Our training is for adults who want to move better, feel stronger, and reduce chronic pain, no matter your starting point.
We work with people recovering from injury, those who want to stay active, and anyone who wants to feel more capable in daily life. You don’t need to be pain-free or in perfect shape to start. Every client begins with a thorough evaluation so your plan fits your body and goals.
Whether your focus is easing pain, returning to activity, or building long-term strength, we meet you where you are and help you progress safely.
-
Getting started is simple. Either reach out to us by filling out the form on the Contact Us page, or book an Initial Evaluation on our Book a Session page. You can also email us at robmulroy@aligned-performance.com.

We offer comprehensive initial consultations to identify the source of dysfunction, manual therapy, and Functional Patterns-based personal training. Memberships are available once clients reach a phase of independent training.
-
Absolutely. Chronic pain can start from an old injury, repetitive stress, or sometimes with no clear reason. Over time, your body changes how it moves to avoid pain, which can create new aches.
At Aligned Performance, we help your body move more naturally through personalized assessments, hands-on care, and movement training. Many clients notice less pain and more confidence in daily activities.
-
Aligned performance combines the expertise of a Doctor of Physical Therapy with the Functional Patterns approach to personal training. This hybrid blend of physical therapy and persona training allows us to identify the root causes of pain or limited functioning and give our clients the long-term tools to move better.
-
Collaborative, honest, and easy. Every client starts with a comprehensive Initial Evaluation. From there, either Manual Therapy or Personal Training sessions depending on your personal needs and goals.
-
Aligned Performance operates as a cash-based service and does not bill insurance or provide documentation for insurance reimbursement. This allows care to remain individ
ualized, flexible, and focused on long-term progress rather than visit limits or insurance requirements.
Payment is made at the time of service.

It depends on your history and consistency. Some clients notice better posture, easier movement, or less pain in the first few sessions. Lasting change comes from building skills you can keep using every day.
Consistency matters more than speed. Your plan grows with your strength, coordination, and confidence.
-
Frequency depends on your needs and goals. Most clients start with one to two sessions per week to build foundational skills and address limitations.
You will get exercises to practice at home so progress continues between visits. As you improve, some keep regular sessions while others move to more independent training with occasional check-ins.
-
Training should challenge you, but it should not make your pain worse. If discomfort shows up, we pause and adjust.
With guidance led by a Doctor of Physical Therapy, we can use hands-on techniques, movement adjustments, and guidance during sessions to reduce symptoms. This helps you train safely while learning to move with less pain and more confidence.

Functional Patterns is a movement-based system developed by Naudi Aguilar. It was designed to address a common issue in fitness and rehab: treating symptoms without correcting how the body actually moves.
Rather than isolating muscles or focusing only on pain, this approach looks at the body as a connected system. By improving posture and “the first four”: standing, walking, running and throwing, we can address the root causes of recurring discomfort.
At Aligned Performance, these principles are applied through a clinical lens by a Doctor of Physical Therapy, ensuring each plan is individualized and grounded in sound movement science.
This isn’t a quick fix. It’s a structured process focused on long-term strength, efficiency, and independence.

We combine rehab and fitness. Physical therapy or personal training alone can help, but many people need guidance to carry improvements into daily life.
At Aligned Performance, we use clinical assessment, hands-on care, and movement training designed for everyday activities like standing, walking, lifting, and reaching. The goal is lasting skills you can use on your own.
-
No. Our goal is to give you the tools to understand and manage your body independently. However, clients can choose to continue with memberships for structure, progression, and accountability if they want to.
